She is the Founder and Editor of WMC FBomb, a feminist media platform for teens and young adults, partnered with Gloria Steinem, Jane Fonda, and Robin Morgan's organization, the Women’s Media Center.
Julie has managed content for organizations including Girls Who Code and Supermajority, edited for MTV News and Vox, and her writing has been published on Marie Claire, Vox, HuffPost, Forbes, and other publications.
She is also the author of two books: ‘College 101: A Girl’s Guide to Freshman Year’ (First edition, 2014; Second edition, 2017; Third edition expected 2024) and ‘A Little F’d Up: Why Feminism Is Not a Dirty Word’ (2012).
Julie holds a Bachelor's degree from Barnard College at Columbia University and a Master's degree from The New School.
